ICS Issues

Hi,

I have a Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) and I updated to ICS 2 weeks back..

Here's a list of issues I am facing..

1. Notification LEDs is not working for a missed call/SMS

2. When browsing from the Android Browser, with 2-3 open tabs and phone call is being recieved, I am unable to pick the call as only the ringtone comes up and the scroller to pick/disconnect the call does not come up and this is a BIG ISSUE.

3. When taking photos, after the focus is done and clicked, there is a blurred image which is being displayed for a second.. when checking the gallery, the photo has been  captured. This is another ISSUE.

Having said the above issues, I would also like to tell u tat the update has made the battery life better, clarity of the UI better and made the photos/videos more clearer.

Please let me know the Resolution for the above issues and also a ETA for them to be fixed. The issues mentioned above are of very high magnitude and please let me any work around (if any) before the fix is being given by Sony.

Let me know the thread.. I do not find any solution given by the SOny support team for any of the above mentioned issues in the forum.. Hence, I decided to start this thread..

1.) alot of people have this, you can search google play for apps that works with led notification
2.) have you tried opening the notification bar? I actually have experienced this one ,the device wont "overide" what you are doing even with a call coming up.

3.) but the image captures is not blurred, is it?

2. Device wont override is part of the ICS update? Coz i did not get such issues with GB.. I could not open the notifications bar.. The phone keeps ringing with the browser stuck

3. Image captured is not blurred. But i am not able to preview the image taken and only a blurred image comes up on screen and also on the thumbsnails in gallery and when connecting to PC...

2. browsing may have taken alot of your RAM, so when the call went in, it stuck. as you know ICS is more RAM demanding than GB..

3. it takes time to load the pictures, as with the reports of other users , they say that the compression rate of the images is less therfore it results in larger images (not in resoultion , but in file size).therfore loading them up in gallery takes a while,

if you want to solve your problems

you can try repairing your device using SUS or PCC. make sure to back up important data:

There were few users who did try repairing their phone for the camera issue. But the issue still persisted. I also tried to switch off "Image Stabiliser" and tried clicking.. but the blurred image issue is still there...

whts actually happening is, when i click a photo, the image that is focussed does not come up for the 1 second preview, but a blurred image comes up... and due to this, the thumbnail saved is a blurred image..if the camera issue is fixed, the thumbnails issue will get fixed automatically..

im little apprehensive on repairing the phone as the issue does not get fixed on repair..

n with regards to the 2nd issue, i guess i will hve to switch off/on my phone every few days/a week to clear the RAM.. will keep u posted on this..

I am also facing the same camera issue.Tried with image stabilizer off, repaired with PC Companion and SUS...............But no hope.:smileycry::smileycry:

I also face several issues and have some concerns that i thought of sharing

its not improved to be better.. look and feel has been uplifted and i feel like using a new phone.. but performance-wise i feel it's not upto par.. running on GB seems to be more stable..

1. slows on performance when connected to the computer even in MTP mode.. the messaging app seems to be affected when connected.. typing becomes so slow..

2. equalizer apps aint working with the music player and i found no possible was to make the equalizer app as default under the settings menu and no customizable eq's out of the box..

3. applications sometimes freezes and not responding window won;t show up to atleast force close it..

4. notification LED not working..

5. facebook notifications nor new text messages are being showed on the lock screen..

battery drains faster with data traffic enabled..

6. network seems to be slower (and there's nothing wrong with signal strength or service provider).. play store, facebook, youtube takes longer to load but streaming is just fast as it was before..

7. in addition facebook and play store time-outs most of the time.. (those were the two apps i used so far after the update) browser times out too..

8. music player still lacks the toggle playback mode (shuffle on/off) and i'm not refferring to the "shuffle playlist" option.. the shuffle playlist is just annoying..

9. uncertain about the light sensor.. didn't notice it in action..

10. new video player doesn't have fast forward/rewind option..

11. face lock works fine..

12. facebook notifies that there's an update but there's no update available..

13. select input method option shows up everytime i start typing a message and it won't go even after selecting a method..

14. the searching in the dialpad lags sometimes and i have to type the name over again..

my SI is 1249-0744 and i couldn't update it via the pc companion.. an error occurred while the preparation of the phone in the process.. i resetted the phone and tried but still it was the same.. by using Sony update service only i was able to update my phone.. i dont know whether it has anything to do with all these concerns, but anyways i believe that if i was running in GB, the phone would've been more stable..
