I would like notifications to interrupt what I am doing and see them on my screen.

When I get a message or notification it just makes a sound. I want the notification to appear on the screen over whatever I am doing.

Most notifications will actually appear as pop ups when you receive them most notably SMS and emails. Though in certain apps they do not allow this to happen example when you are playing a game. You cansee your led light up when you receive notifications

Well actually they do not appear... Thats why I am writing in the Sony forum

When my phone is locked the screen doesnt even light up when receving a message...

Have you tried it when you are in safe mode.? Just long press the power off option.
Check your notification settings too. Make sure DnD isn't on

Which app do you have open when you don't get those notifications?

The receiving call now seems to work fine, but messages still dont light up the screen.

I want to be able to look at my phone and see if its a message or e-mail or whatever. Thats the point of "Locked screen notifications" in the settings right ?

Settings > sound & notification > when device is locked > show all notification content > also, Keep notifications on lock screen 

App notification > check if the apps are listed

I am in phone settings and receive and E-mail or message and nothing shows up on my screen, just the sound. Not even the little gray bar on the top showing me the Little icons and if its a E-mail or Message or whatever.

I am coming from a Samsung S5 but I was thinking this is standart Android feature.
