I was updating my Ion and not it will not turn on at all (Xperia Ion AT&T)

Many people have being asking this on our support line.

It looks like they try the update and mid way the update fails or it looks like it ends but they disconnect the unit and the phone will not power on at all.

Sometimes it displays  "error code 1100 saying Sony Update Engine failure"

An easy solution for this (tried and tested) is to perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button and the volume up button.

This will reset the unit and allow it to come back on (or be turned on).

After the unit comes back on the user needs to charge it to at least 50% in order to try the update once more.

In most cases this happens because the user failed to charge the unit to at least 50% before stating the update.

I have tried holding the power button and volume up button at the same time but it is not resolving the issue and continues to turn on and off by itself with the 'Sony' screen.
