This morning I was using Kindle on my phone which crashed, causing the phone to reboot.
It then cycled between the xeperia & O2 logos. I've set up the PC companion to repair it but my PC is not recognising my phone when I follow the "hold the volumne button down while pulgging in the USB cable steps."
The PC recognises there is something there but not as a phone, and of course I cant get into the phone to change any settings.
I've held the button down for inxcess of 2 minutes hoping it will wake but no joy!
Any ideas anyone?
Force restart or shutdown, press power button + vol up until the phone vibrates once(restart) or vibrates three times(shutdown).Try the repair with Sony Update Service.
Thanks but have attempted this & the PC is not recogising the phone is attached to it.
Any ideas on that?
Can you turn on and do something in the phone, like a factory settings reset?Or the phone cannot be turned on?
If I turn the phone on it only cycles between the two logos, if I plug it into the pc it is regognised only until the logo changes at which point the communication fails.
Have you tried with Sony update service also?If this does not work,i suggest you to take the phone to a sony centre.
Press and hold power + vol up + vol down buttons for I guess 10 secs, there will be 3 vibrations. Phone will be shutdown then. Follow repair procedure. I had same issue yesterday. I did like this and it worked.
