I can't use my xperia E4 hotspot

I have a HUGE problem with my brand new xperia E4.

everything seemed to work fine, until I tried to use it as a hotspot with mi windows 8.1 laptop.

It does nothing at all, i even tried to connect it manually but it refuses to work.

I REALLY need the hotspot, right now it's the only way I have to be online.

PD: Not a problem from my laptop, right now I'm using my old phone's hotspot (It's an LG L5)

Have you set up the hotspot so you know the password?

Does your network allow you to tether your data?

Welcome to the community, 

You could try downloading the Internet settings for the device.

Menu > Settings > More > Internet Settings > Accept disclaimer > Choose network.

Hi everyone,

After trying by all means, i've finally made it work, It turns out that I can use hotspot via USB, and it works just fine. I still didn't figure out why it refuses to work through the wifi, but at least I can surf the net with its hotspot.

That is a strange one, it may be worth trying a Wifi hotspot on another device, this way you can see where the issue is located.
