you can't, all pictures will be stored on the SD card (internal) not the OTG sd card, can your phone recognize the OTG SD card? because it sholud be able to play the music.

uliwooly is right for camera pictures and videos which must be in /mnt/sdcard/DCIM.

Your 16GB card is mounted as /mnt/ext_card. I use QuickPic as a photo gallery and editor. You can set the media folders in the QuickPic settings to include, say, /mnt/ext_card/video. That way it can see video or photos on your new card.

I use MusicMod as my music player and it found mp3 files on /mnt/ext_card/music automatically. I expect the Sony player will do the same. Maybe power off your phone and then restart it after adding new music files.

I set the output for pictures to sd card and the camera stores the pictues on my external card. Look at the last / second screen at camera settings.  Maybe you'll have to create or copy the picture folder (dcim) to your external card first. My recorded videos are stored there too. I use a Sandisk 32GB class 10 card.

If your setting was 'sd card' before you inserted your external card you may try to set it to internal, restart and set it to sd card again.
