I been trying to disable the autoplay music function when bluetooth connects to my car audio. the music starts playing automaticlly when the phone connects to the car and the mode is on bluetooth. I looked in the form, there's a couple of post with this problem, but no solution mention. I just like the featured to be turned off. I don't really listen to musics a lot and somes it's a little annoying I had to physically push the stop or pause button on the phone to stop playing the music.
I looked all over my phone. the bluetooth feature (not much setting there)
the Sony Walkman App (no such setting of function)
the Smart Connect (Can't make any changes, the only thing under accessories tab-my Car option: Functions-Throw, Applications-Music(the walkman App))
I'm not sure if this is a Android feature of not, it seems like it's been doing that since Android 4.1 or 4.2. it's just a little annoying to me now.
Also, the Sony Walkman app does not seem to have enough setting features. nothing allow
thanks, will do. I'll have to try it tomorrow when I get into my car. I have a feeling this is not going to cut it. I'm thinking it could be Android itself or the Music App in Sony. I'll try connecting a Samsung Galaxy S5 to my car and see what happen. it has the same OS.
I think that you will not do too much about it. It is normal that car audio plays music from any source it gets. It is the same for FM and CD. As soon as CD is in drive it will start playing. There is no "stop" button. But if you don't want to listen to music you can always switch off radio. Navigation and HF functions should work normally.
My radio behaves the same as yours. It starts playing as soon as phone connect to the car but only if I leave it at Bluetooth-in. If I leave it in AUX, FM, CD it will not switch to bluetooth audio except for handfree profile. A2DP audio is engaged only if I select bluetooth in.
