how to delete old apps

I have had some problems with memory cards,but I am now left with about 20 blue squares with apicture of a memory card in the corner, but it won't let me delete them...anyone know how I can get rid?

That happened bc you moved the apps to the SD card and then removed the SD card 

settings > apps  >all  > home launcher > clear data 

or 

just press and hold the icon (on the home launcher) > drag to the X
