Hi I have just bought a xperia play for 1 day and was unable to register it's warranty, I called the sony ecrisson headquarter and was told that my phone was not suppose to be sold in my country. I know it's my fault for not checking but is there any other way to get a warranty for this phone. And is there a way to check if my phone is second hand phone? What should I look for in the phone to determine if it's a faulty one?
Thanks in advance.
UM what is its model num r800i r800x r800a r800at

simple, go to sonyericsson.com at the bottom select your country, if the Xperia Play its NOT there then it's not available in your country, thus you don't have warranty.
r800x and r800at are exclusive to the US
r800x verizon CDMA phone not GSM phone (doesn't support/use SIM cards)
r800at AT&T variant of the phone
My model is R80i
and you r in the states right?
I am not quite sure what you mean, but Xperia PLAY is available in my country but the phone sold to me isn't suppose to be sold here. I counldn't registered the warrenty because the IMEI is invalid.
