Hello Sonymobile.
My Sony Xperia Z1 turned itself off two days ago when I was making a phone call and not running other apps (40% of battery charge at the time), the phone just shut down and I could feel an extremely weird heat afterwards. I left it to cool down a little bit which it took a few minutes, then plugged it in the wall charger. Two days now and the only sign I have been seeing is the RED LED blinking...Nothing more.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
*1: I tried to do the hard resest combo (power button + volume up button) as suggested in many forums = no sign of life
*2: I tried to do the fix update via Sony PC Companion but unfortunately I can't get my device recognized as I supposed it should have 50 % + of charge which I assume the phone doesn't have it and that is because it won't charge at all!
*3: I tried to leave it connected to the wall charger for the whole day = no signal of life...
Now I have a dead phone...What do I do with it? Please HELP!
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
If you press and hold the volume down button and plug it into the computer whilst holding that button, do you get a solid green notification light?

Hello Sam, I tried that as well but all I keep seeing is the red light.
Ok, in this case it looks like you will not be able to run a software repair as it will not connect in Flash mode so I can only advise you to speak with your local Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment arranged.
