y is there no option for video calling directly. and as it is not skype certifed also. how can sony do this. Any ways to get around this problem?
there is no solution for this currently,
that's odd, skype works just fine w/ my Xperia S, you can use tango

I thought you could use Google Talk for video calls.
I am using Skype so I'm not sure why you cannot use it.
Indeed you can use Gtalk too (w/ wifi), it might not be available in his market/region
