Since my english is kinda OFF, iam using google translate.. if there is something you dont understand please tell me..
How is sony xperia Z5 compact structured? were in a hurry this morning, and by mistake I dropped my phone in the floor, the back took a bit hard and broke, cracked fairly sharply, has contacted Sony to see what it might cost ..
But, someone here might know how the phone is built? I'll leave it to support, I will have to change both front and back, or is it possible you can fix Z5 compact only by switching back cover? do not want to pay 300 euros just to get back cover fixed
iam clumsy as I know.......
Yes it have a glass back, and its kinda broken, or well its not broken, i can still use the phone, but its "scars" or whatever its called all over the glass, and for a 1 week old phone its kinda lame
yes i know, i will buy a cover fast as possible, but i would love to repair the glass first, i guess its not waterproof now when glass is broken..
Really its glass? I thought its plastic. Anyway, if only the back is cracked you do not have to replace the front, only the back, the back doesnt cost much. It's not waterproof.
Do you have a pic of it?
It is possible to change the back only. Send it to the original Sony service center and meanwhile buy a protector.
I recommend you to buy any durable protective glass like Nillkin Amazing HP+
It is 9H hard, more than even gorilla glass. And it is oleophobic too
As far as I know Nillkin started to sell separately also glasses for the back:

But I do not know if the back of Z3 Compact is the same as Z5 compact.
Soon these glasses should appear for Z5 series and definitely I am picking it.
I was using it for Z2 and to be honest so far there is no any single even smallest scratch!
This glass remains just perfect, untouch.
This is the best glass I ever had, thn and quite cheap.
I wonder why Sony is not using these to cover originally Z series.
Can someone please deliver this suggestion to Sony internally?
Thank you,
Also, think about the insurance for your pone if such a things happen to you.
Then you would get it repaired for free.
