How do you keep track of all Issues Raised/identified by Xperian users?
When i went thru all issues, i see either from support they say "Able to replicate, will pass on to developers" ; but after that we never get an update either from Sony or from developers to say if its fixed or not. We need to ask you guys again n again, but yet no response.
Burning Issue:-
- Battery Drain in latest firmware update (.45)
- No change log for the latest firmware update (.45)
- Bug on Awake service, yet no *answer* from Sony
- Quick Launch Camera
When this issues will be fixed? And we are waiting for an answer about JellyBean update!! (Links which you gonna share to check for the latest news from Developers doesn't have anything to view or updates)
Yes, i too would like an answer to that. And about issues on latest ICS (which have no working solution) i would like to add to the above list:
- Proximity sensor bug, wherein you can't hang up after the call as screen won't light up!
- Bravia Engine bug, wherein BE doesn't work for photos on ICS (only works for videos).
those issues seem to be for few users, I have the Xperia S and I don't have the battery drain issue, can you elaborate on "no change log", regarding awake service I read in one of this threads that developers are working on this (Johan posted that), quick launch camera only affect few.
You even posted on that thread

The awake process is something that is being looked at as we speak.
How long have you been running on .45 firmware?
Stating "being looked at" means nothing here, how long have they been "looking at" the camera issues? Isn't it since day one of ICS release back in June?
I expected your reply for my post
- Most of the Xperia S users got a new firmware update recently (6.1.A.2.45); We don't have any info in sony official site stating the changes thats done in this firmware.. Did you?? (Many of them had asked for it, Johan had replied stating, he is even waiting for that info.. But its been days now still we didn't receive an answer)
- Awake Service : Yes i had posted (you are right!)... But for many days its with the same status, whats the next/current update to users???
- What do you mean by few ?? It means that SONY really don bother for few users who are in troble using some applications ?!
I agree with you, Sony SHOULD no no MUST be clear on updates when they will be released, why they take too long to be approved, who has to approve them, are they all submitted globally at the same time, which bug fix will be added to the next update, when will the next update be released, we, users need clarity on this and many other issues.
If you post in multiple places the same issues, this clutter the forum and it's hard for users to help each other and for moderators to look at all the threads. just keep this thread alive, if it says assumed answered mark any post as the correct answer and unmark soon after, it will be marked not answered

Yes, the xperia support say they are looking into the "awake service" issue. And they also said the same for camera quicklaunch issue too! The thing here we are asking is, this being the usual reply for any reported bugs/issues by xperia support, when (or if at all) are these reported issues supposed to be solved?
And i bet they wouldn't know till date about the proximity sensor bug, or the BE issue for pics (which've been reported here for months now)!
We're not always really able to provide a direct response to a thread when we have sent an issue further on due to many things. One of those things is that they're not always to easy to be sure for what markets/unit's the solution goes and when it's launched. One other thing is that we usually communicate those things more widely then just for one thread in the forum. Often in a post in the product blog or a statement in the forum. How we communicate it depends on many things and there for it very's some.

Petter,
Can you post a link to the post on the Xperia product blog about the interim .45 update? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I totally understand your explanation. But thats were customer needs to be satisfied and thats totally on your shoulders to make/feel.
At the end of the day everybody wants to have a good phone w/o any lagging/issues. This needs to be fixed before production, i understand that no product can be released w/o bugs; but when lot of ppl really feel panic on purchasing such a high worth mobile and the response from Sony is totally unappreciated!
Xperia S/SL blog is one of the most viewed/talked about phones in this blog! This would really put forth the issues that most of the customers are struggling at! Maybe you guys are really using these issues to fix a brand new mobile and forgetting the existing customers satisfaction!
This thread was created to hear/remind an update from Support team and also to remind you that none of the reported issues is fixed till date.
