How do I enter the unlock code?

Hi,

As the title says - 'How do I enter the unlock code' on my CK13i?

I have been issued with the code from my network provider, but cannot seem to enter it into the phone.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Have you inserted the SIM card from another network, that the phone doesn't normally accept? In some cases, you need to remove the SIM card altogether.

Hi Dr_Chris,

Thanks for the swift reply. I have tried inserting the new sim card and turning on the phone. It says something like 'insert sim card' - emergencies only (or something similar). I try to enter the code, but it allows a max of 6 numbers. It does this with the correct sim in or the wrong one (also without a sim).

Hope that kinda makes sense, been a looooong day.

Nice 1 Dr,

I can get to the submenu, the number i have been given seems to sork in the SPCK menu, but the phone still stays 'wrong sim'. Will i need the 'network' code, cause i have tried the one i have in the network submenu and it says wrong code. tried it twice, 3 left.

Not quite with you here, but it may be that your network provider has given you the wrong code.In any case, you should contact them to make sure and also ask them for precise instructions on how to enter the code, because this is a very recent model.Let me know what happens.

Thanks all, phone is now unlocked. The instructions at the bottom of this page worked a charm. Thanks for the link Dr_chris. The problem I had wasn't helped when Virgin gave me the wrong unlock code.

Unlocking a CK13i:

1- Switch ON your phone with or with no Sim card.

2- Press left on the multi-direction hat switch (sorry guys, probably a correct word somewhere).

3- Press the * (star) button twice.

4- Press left on the multi-direction hat switch again.

5- Personalize menu should appear.

6- Select NCK

7- Dial in NCK Unlock Code

8- Hit OK and hopefully Bob is your mother's brother.
