I have recently just updated my Xperia S and as i was going to change my caller ringtone i accidentally pressed on the default sounds only. In short, i can't change my ringtone to something from my media folder, i only have default ringtones as my choices. I've tried the settings reset but that doesn't work. Do i have to resort to reset factory settings?
I have made the same mistake, can't set up a ringtone from my media folder anymore.
Any suggestions, please?
Hi Beverly,
To change ringtones goto settings->sounds->phone ringtone click sound picker and in top right click the music symbol to select the ringtone or you can also goto walkman->my music->songs and select particular song press menu and set as ringtone.
regards,
Andrew
The top right button on the ringtone selection no longer exists. Neither the option to select a particular song/sound in the walkman through the menu.
You can "clear defaults" for media storage under settings > apps > the "all" tab" > media storage > clear defaults. Then you should be able to select your own ringtones again.
