Is it possible to set my home screen as default whenever I on my phone or whenever I unlock my lock screen?

As @alexdon wrote, it would help if you could be a bit more specific regarding what you mean. Do I understand you correctly in that you want the device to revert to the home screen, even if you lock the device with an active app/not at the home screen?

As Emir mentioned, I would like to get back to my home screen (as seen in the picture) whenever I wake up/on my phone from sleep or from power. Is this possible as a default?

I don't think that's possible, if you are in an app when you lock the device, you'll resume in the same app, unless the app itself closes because of design.

I'm afraid it is as @alexdon writes, there is currently no built-in option for such a feature. It may be possible with the use of third party apps available in the Google Play Store, but I have never tried such an app or heard of such a feature so I can't assist you with that.

What I can do, however, is forward this as user feedback internally - I'll make sure to do that!
