Hold the back key

Hi,

I am trying to update my x10 mini with PC companion.

At step 2, it ask to deconnect the phone and switch it off....

When I hold the back key and plug the cable on the phone, the green light turns on for 10-20s and then nothing. I kept the key for approx 1 min but nothing is happening.

When I release it, the phone go on charging.

I tried several times, unsuccesful.

What should I do?

I just had the same problem.

You only have to hold the "back" key for a few seconds.  That is - hold it down, plug the micro-USB into the phone, and wait 3-5 seconds before releasing it.

That worked for me.

Do it like this

Make sure that you battery is charged to at least 50%

1. Switch off the phone and wait for 30 seconds

2. Connect the data cable to PC

3. Now press back button on your phone [keep pressing continually]

4. While pressing connect the USB cable to the phone. Keep on pressing until PC Companion asks you to release the back key.

I'm finally updated my phone to android 2.1 😃 cool~ I love the layout. Instead, it works smooth and just nice compare to android 1.6 =P

as my sony bridge for mac software sayys DOESN'T WORK AT ALL

I'M about to freaking out by being unable to update this E10i in the last 8hours

relentless try. While i'm type this still holding that **bleep** back key and no

the sony bridge for mac doesn't instruct me anything to do, but being so idle!!!!!!!

I'm very tierd of Exuseme but **bleep** things Why such a high technology

performes so idiotic way???
