i have xperia s and one morning i woke up and i saw a message no sim card and still its not working
i have reinserted the sim !
any idea what could be the poblem ?
Try to restart the phone by press and hold the power button and the volume up at the same time until the phone vibrates.
If the phone still says no SIM card I suggest that you try with another SIM card in your phone.
If the problem persists with another SIM card you can try to update/repair the phone software using the program PC Companion:
ok i will change sim card but my phone is on 4.1 JB the latest firmware 6.2..... and should i restore it ot factory settings? because restarting the phone and reseting its settings dint helped!
im worried and there's no customer service support for xperia cellphone in pakistan.
It could be if you have a sim card that has been cut to size is not seated in the right place ie: the pins aren't making contact or and this is my theroy - Your phone has been knocked in a way that has dislodged the plug for the sim card reader or the sim reader has a bad soldier joint which connects it to the board this board is not part of the main board - You have a few options try other sim cards as mentioned above - Send it to Sony or and only if you feel upto it try and take it apart and check the sim readers connection as can be seen in the link below - Step 6 shows the sim reader cable which attatches to the main board and step 25 shows the sim reader fully removed so if you do try it be careful of the ribbon cable
