help please sony ericsson 890i not ringing

Hi i seem to have a problem  my phone will not ring when called updated software checked all settings all okay. read lots on other forums this seems to be a common fault on this phone but no solutions to rectify ringtone plays on selection music plays. i am sure someone on here can help me rectify this fault and give me some idea on cost to rectify and what needs replacing on phone
