help please need my notifications!!!!

Please can you assist me... My notifications settings are active and my lock screen settings are set to visible but as soon as my phone locks it's like everything has stopped I don't get any social networking msgs or emails all I get is text messages and calls as soon as I unlock the device the messages come flooding thru that's not how a phone operates I called for support and I have wiped my phone and started from fresh as per ur agent but to no avail still the same freaking issue my phone has to be unlocked all the time and I really do need it for work that was the point of getting the phone oh and let me tell u the workmanship is so flimsy my phone went from my laptop to the table I knocked it off by mistake and guess what the screen cracked just after one month of having the phone and support tells me I need to pay for repair I have had many phones and my previous blackberry feel so many times I was even in an accident and that phone came out without a scratch!!!! Sony seems too make tall claims but none comes to pass super hot battery and dies in 8 hrs max!!!! Really want to throw this phone bk to the supplier total waste of my rands

As for the battery life

We'll need more info to better assist you

charge the phone 100% use it as you normally would then once the battery reaches 10%

settings > power management > battery > take screenshots of:

1. the list

2. tap on the graph and take a screenshot

3. back > tap on the top 4 items on the list > take a screenshot of each 

post them all here or upload the screenshots to box or dropbox or google drive or etc and post the link

Welcome to the Community. 

In respect to the notifications it sounds like you have extended standby enabled as part of Stamina mode. This pauses WiFi and data traffic while you aren't using the screen in order to improve battery performance. To disable this: 

• From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
• Find and tap Settings > Power management > STAMINA mode.
• Make sure that Extended standby is disabled
• When you're finished, tap DONE.
