HEAVY BATTERY DRAIN AFTER 14.3.A.0.757 UPDATE AND DOUBLED CHARGING TIME :-(

Having a two week old Xperia z1 and updated to kitkat on the next day itself i brought my phone, yesterday i got the bugfix update for xperia z1 c6902, INDIA , it was only 14.5 mb, but really an update, increased the charging time into 2x normal time, means it requires 5-6 hours to fully charge and the most disappointing and frustrating thing is the fast battery draining while using wi-fi, before this fix, my z1 was working pretty well in wi-fi , but now drops to 20% in wi-fi with minimal usage. 😞 . can anyone help me here?

You updated OTA?I suggest you try a repair with SUS:

I'm facing the same problem too. can sony release back the old firmware? i having problem using the usb to computer update. waited for 3min update service software show no connection. did try on the Sony PC Companion 2.1 and same problem too cannot connect to my phone. very sad. sony please do something.

@SPREE3050 I see your using clean master, uninstall that, I used that for a while on my nexus 7 which was on KitKat and the battery drained in a few hours  but once I uninstalled it and restarted my tab the battery went back to normal, try it and see if it works 😉

I updated my phone via PC Companion from 4.3 to 4.4.2 (build no: 14.3.A.0.681) , it was around 1.2 GB, but on 18th i got new update notification (screenshot already provided) for bulid no: 14.3.A.0.757 and it was only 14.5 MB (I thought it may be a complete replacement and above 1 GB, but received just a fix only) , I updated it OTA via Wi-Fi. But after that, I started facing problems in charging and battery draining..

Hey dear,

Dont panic your phone is fine no need to worry just do 1 thing

keep your phone off While charging, apply it 2-3 times if not success in first time. During OFF phone will charge fastly and completely after charging use it till 10% battery remains.

Also just update your phone to latest andriod version.

I have experienced it and now working fine on KK 4.4.2 (14.3.A.0.757)

SUS = sony update service.

It will reinstall latest software,deleting all your data.

I suggest once u try safe mode and charge your phone while switch OFF and see if your phone becomes normal.

I found CCLEANER is a better app to clear the junk files and optimize the ram, that's why i started using that app, but i too think that it will eat up a good percentage of battery as it always runs in background, can u suggest a better app like CCLEANER to keep the system optimized.?

thanks for your support 🙂 Asper your suggestion i was planning to repair my mobile with SUS, but what actually happend was really surprising, i let my mobile switch off itself by draing the battery completely, after that i put my mobile for charging without turning it on. Now my mobile is working fine, battery lasts around 20 Hrs with wifi turned on, browsing and calls (i saw some claims here that thier phone lasts 2 days even with descent usage. I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE :-o). Not checked the battery charging time yet.
