Headset icon shown always.

Hi, I am using Xperia S for the past year. But recently I encountered a problem. Headset icon is displayed even when it is not connected.I did clean the port and have restored factory settings. Occassionally a message "headphone accessories and buttons not available" pops out. I am not able to answer the calls. I have to turn on the loud speaker to answer calls. Please do help me.

Try to put in and remove the headset while you are playing a song in the Walkman player. Then restart your phone by press and hold the power button and volume up at the same time. 

If the problem still persists you can try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:

If that doesn't help it seems like you should have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local support for more information:
