Hello,
I'm here because I have a problem with my brand new Xperia Z3, it does not detect my headphones (it's the Hyper X Cloud II). It detects other headphones.
It works with SoundAbout, but it's a pain to have the notification "hey buy me" everytime I switch on the headphones and it's a pain just to have to switch to listen to music.
That's why I'm here to ask you, is there a fix for this or not ? (I'm under Android 5.1.1, more precisely 23.4.A.1.232 and my phone is a D6603).
Thanks in advance :).
What makes me think that it's not hardware related is that my headphones works perfectly on my Xperia Z and on my computer, it also works well on my Xperia Z3 but only if I enable SoundAbout.
That's the fact that it's working with SoundAbout that makes me think it's not a hardware problem.
Though since it's the detection of the headphones that's not working that may also be an hardware-related problem, I'm not an expert.
Please let me know, I'm having the same issue with my Beats Studio headphones which have started not working for no reason. I have tried resetting and repairing the phone through the Sony Companion PC thing but no joy. It's annoying
They answered me today with "Please contact the Hyper X support" (I guess they didn't even search of the brand behind it, since it's Kingston).
But that really means that they don't care, since it is not a permanent problem and the problem is coming from the phone.
Though since Lollipop seems to have some problems (Sometimes I can't mute my phone or change the volume, etc...) I'll rollback it to KitKat, and tell you if it fixed the problem or not.
Alright I downgraded to Kitkat and I still need SoundAbout for my headphones to work.
Although it fixed the mute problem so I'm happy with that.
Well I just used a zip with my recovery (and I unlocked my bootloader etc...).
(Originally my phone was on 5.0, for some reasons I had to downgrade it to 4.4.4 and then I updated it to 5.1.1, and now I downgraded again to 4.4.4).
