Headphone logo popping up and away constantly

Hi There

Yet another problem with my z5 compact....

Today my phone has started popping up the headphone inserted logo and then disapearing and coming back again. Like an animation.

Any soloutions?

This could happen if there is lint/dust in the 3.5mm input, try to clean it.

How would i clean it?

This also means i cannot play sound from the phone as it keeps thinking a headphone has been inserted.

@weesteve A cotton swab is a way to go. I know what that means. There is also a chance smart connect application is involved, so also try to clear data for it.

How do i clear the data??

Go to settings - apps, find smart connect, tap on it, select storage and clear data.

Same thing happened on mine after i washed the phone with water.

It lasted only a couple of hours so i think that as said before something when into your headphones socket you should try to clean it
