GPS Problem

Hi,

I used my xperia ray as GPS navigator for several month without any troubles.

3 days ago, I lost gps tracking while driving with google navigator.

Since then, my phone doesn't fix any satellites anymore, no matter the application I use.

I'm running on ICS 4.0.4

I don't allow automatic updates.

I already reboot, uninstall/install gps apps. Nothing worked.

Any ideas on what is going on?

Looks like the problem came without any reasons.

Could it be a hardware problem?

Anything to do to check if the gps chipset (or whatever it is) is still working?

It is a bit strange that this suddenly appeared for no reason. However as it appears you have not tried to run an update yet to resolve this I would advise doing so as a first step.

Hi Sam,

All my apps are up to date. I already try to uninstall and reintall them.

Do you suggest another update I may forgot?

As you said, It appeared suddenly for no reason, on a fully working device.

When I try to catch gps with google maps, the satellite appears in the notification without blinking waves as it used to be (i think). There's no waves at all.

Everything works fine this morning. I haven't done anything new to fix it.
