Hi
I am using Sony xperia Neo V and my problem is GPRS/3G internet get disconnect frequently. I got the 3g Icon on netword bar, but when i open any webpage is not open. I can not connect to the interent, and also the up-down icon below 3g icon which show the data traffic upload and download is also no showing. I have to restart my phone to get back internet.
it could be
1. poor network coverage
2. faulty SIM card
3. wrong APN settings
4. do you have a data plan?
5. an intrusive unnecessary app (Taskiller, Antivirus, battery apps, ram apps, booster apps, uninstall them)

if i select wcdma preferred/ GSM then i got network disconnection issues, because in india 3g network is not good.
thats quite odd, I would still get a brand new SIM card if I were you, to narrow down the issue, you could repair your phone with SUS, also 71 -dbm is a decent connection, check this as soon as you lose coverage.

will get new sim card when i got some time and test if problem is still present.
I will update you on this.
let us know how it goes
Also if it is only picking up GSM where you are this can cause timeout problems when trying to load some pages due to the slow data connection speed in this mode.

I also had similar issue and it turned out to be a carrier relared issue. There was no solution to it. Disconnection occured no matter what. And then I had trouble in reconnecting. It took several attempts before I could get connected again.
Searching for tools to automate this process. I stunbled upon this app call connection stabilizer booster on the play store. It simply reconnects the connection and keeps trying untill connection is established. Quite hacky but works. You can download it from play store.
