There can be a few things that cause this problem. However please first check:
Main Menu > Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Confirm with your network if what you have in here are WAP or Internet settings. If they are WAP settings this would explain the issue and they will need to provide you the correct settings.
