Google Maps - Offline Maps

Recently I upgraded Google Maps through play store.

Downloading maps for offline use is a great idea.. But sometimes, entire downloaded maps get vanished.

Why so ? Please help !

i think up to version 6.8.1 of Google Maps you could save and keep offline sizable data but if you have latest version google may have limited this feature. Check out with google website. I have 6.8.1 and i can save good ammount of offline map pieces ( say 20 Km X 20 Km)
