Gmail sync problem

I am unable to sync contacts, Gmail and calendar. I tried to delete Google account, reboot and then make sign in again but still problem is same. When I open Gmail it keeps giving message that "getting your messages" but never loads. One more thing I would like to ask is what is hearing aid feature in Sony Xperia e3 dual?

You can use PC Companion to backup the device before you do a software repair, when inside PC Companion simply navigate to the Backup/Restore section to perform this task.
