Gmail App - Crashing

I use a Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i). For the past one week whenever Gmail app is opened it shows 'Waiting for sync' and after 30 seconds or so the app closes with the message ' Unfortunatley - Gmail has stopped'. i did the settings reset, factory reset and reintalled the o/s. Nothing is solving the issue. Can anyone please help ?

Strange. Is this also independent of what data connection you use? Mobile net or Wi-Fi?

If yes I have no better suggestion than having it examined at an repair center. Contact your local support team for more info.

Hello,

I found something new. I added a second google account & that's working fine (Gmail also is syncing). Only with my first google account Gmail is showing error ' Waiting for sync' & closes with the message ' Unfortunatley - Gmail has stopped.

Now it's understandable the problem is with syncing. Cant be the issue with google servers as i've problem for almost 2 weeks now. If the problem is with local setting/phone it's not rectified after factory reset &  reinstalling the O/S. Cant find anything more. Any help?

do you have a @gmail.com or @googlemail.com ?

Gmail.. both accounts i used was gmail.com
