Gives iphone nightmares?! GIVES ME NIGHTMARES

for my loyalty to this brand/company, i've been promoting "sony is the best" to my friends and family. had z, z3, and z3 compact. even if i found faults or major improvements needed on the older models but i still loved it. but what do i get in return for being loyal?! 

payed almost $700 for z3 compact(orange). said it was waterproof. THIS IS A LIE! I had always made sure to close every lid on it. used it only in the shower. never submerged. I mean NEVER! never got the guts to test it since I could see from forums having problems. 

Now until recently, my phone was dropped and the front and the back was cracked. nowhere near anything wet. phone was still working. i can call, text, use internet, blutetooth. the crack was straight up in the middle. only the right side of the screen's touchscreen works. and i tilt it from autorotate to get around. I couldnt answer calls since it wont rotate when someone is callling and have to slide across. so i sent it in. 2 weeks later i get it back unrepaired "liquid ingress" and saying its unrepairable... I was just hoping for the screen to be replaced. usually with every product manufactured, you can repair/replace almost any part since you manufacture it. i am willing to pay. of course not the same price as a brand new phone for a repair. If it truly is an uncompromised waterproof phone it shouldnt have been wet. the waterproofing is useless. 

Passed around the call center agents. just to put me on hold for 1 1/2 hour. just telling me what I know. I was just trying to make sure that they are not fixing it cause its not covered by warranty so I told them I will pay.

Didnt expect much. No wonder sony closed in our mall. Just wanted to share my experience before someone thinks of getting one. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. only expect them to be so accomodating when buying. BUT SONY doesnt care if the customer has a problem. 

"sorry you dropped your phone sir. It is beyond repair. since water sipped in while you were in the shower. ITS your fault. --- this is what SONY is saying to me. THANKS FOR NOTHING!

Did you contacted Sony Xperia care and requested a vacuum test? That will prove if you didn't FIRMLY closed all the flaps or if it's an issue with the phone.

But since the screen its cracked most likely the motherboard was damaged,  and that's the most expensive part of the phone, it will cost you almost the same as a new phone, and that's true for other smartphones.
