Getting notification to update system software even after installing

I updated system software of my xperia z1 to 14.2.A.0.290 (Android version 4.3) couple of weeks ago. The update went successful, build number in "About phone" of settings is showing as 14.2.A.0.290. But from yesterday, I am getting notification again to update to version 14.2.A.0.290 and it is not going away.

From sony website (http://www.sonymobile.com/in/software/phones/xperia-z1/), I do not see any new update available. How can I make the notification to go away?

Now that's quite odd, what happen if you follow up with the update?

I think it will only reinstall actual software.where does the.notification appear?in update centre?

When I click on notification to update, it is taking to update centre, and asking to connect to computer.

Just remove the update from update centre.hiw did you update in the first time?via pcc,right?

I updated system software using a PC only.

It is not allowing me to hide systmem software updates in "Manage updates" screen. For example, I have hidden Info-eye updates in this screenshot, but there is no option to hide system software update.

Settings-apps-all-update centre,clear data.

Thanks, this is working fine, and clearing notification.

But if I launch update center again, it is showing that system software update is available. Is there a permenent fix for this? Again I am not sure why it is showing an update that is already installed.

Probably it had the notification before you updated vis pc,so now it tells you over and over.It should let you remove the update from there,how about if you go to update centre,tap longer on it,don't you get options?
