forgotten screen lock password on sony experia l

hi!.please help or any suggestions would be a great help!..i forgot my screen lock password for my sony experia l..is there any way that i can retrieve my password?or do i really need to reset my phone?please help..thank you very much!

If you forgot the password,you can only repair phone software and remove the lock.

Download sony update service(SUS).Install,open and follow the steps provided.
