Good day, Sony Mobile Community. I added a screenlock PIN to my Xperia Z1 and I unfortunately wrote it wrong both times and now I locked myself out of the phone. Is there any way of bypassing the PIN without hard reseting the phone? I don't have location, wi-fi or myxperia activated so any new ideas are welcome.
if you enter wrong pin a few more times it would ask you to unlock via google account,. i am not sure if you need to be connected to the internet,
you can also use google android manager.
if you have usb debugging enabled you can try to remove the pin by using ADB
Hi @EpicRazzy,
Check this guide and see if it can help you unlock your phone: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-unlock-a-phone-w-o-reseting-reformating-the-phone/m-p/92729...
If you are unable to unlock it you need to perform a software repair using PC Companion with the help of a PC which will reset the phone completely.
@nolramb
Could you please be a more specific?
1. No, if I get the PIN wrong 5 times, the only thing I get is a 30 second cooldown untill I can try again.
2. I did and it can't detect my phone or send a setup notification for Lock and Erase. Isn't the phone supposed to be connected to the internet or have locations on? Or am I doing something wrong?
3. USB debugging is enabled, but for this to work isn't the phone supposed to be rooted? Because it isn't
If your phone has
GPS on
Data or WiFi on
your Gmail account is on the phone
and MyXperia its enabled you can use it
the phone doesn't have to be neither rooted nor anything else
@EpicRazzy If neither My Xperia nor Android Device Manager are able to find the phone I'm afraid that you will have to reset the phone through a software repair using PC Companion.
