For the forth time my phone has lost my contacts

This is the third Xperia Neo phone i have had in six months and each time it's the same problem.

Turn the phone off when i go to bed, wake up the next morning turn phone on all contacts have disappeared??

I can normally upload my contacts from the VCF files but this time it says they have uploaded but nothing is showing?

Also when I am adding new contacts and numbers these are also not showing, This is the fourth time it has now happened starting to get very frustrated.

Sorry to hear about your experience regarding your Xperia neo. 

This sounds like you have a filter enabled in your contact app. Open contacts > menu button > filter > unmark online contacts and make sure that phone contacts or Google contacts is marked.
