Looks like Sony wont upgrade the camera of the T.

The T had some updates and lots of costumers asked for a camera upgrade. They just added some option to the camera, BUT never fixed the problem of the poor pictures quality nor the problem of focus in videos.

I don't think it's a question of returning the phone, because this is an issue that the phone has since the first day and most of Xperia T users has this problem.

The truth is that Sony wont (for now) fix this terrible quality of the camera.

I also get the same problem .. When shooting videos , the image goes from clear to blur to clear to blur etc .. It also seems that the image is constantly moving because of the autofocus issues.

Also the pictures are not bad in a clear day light but in low light the pictures are kinda awfull.

I hope Sony will create a patch to fix these issues ..

Thanks

Hello guys,

i found a way to take pictures and record videos without loosing focus.

To do this you have to install a program called Lg Camera

You can find it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera&hl=pl

Try it out and play with some options - it helped me with my problem.

And if anybody knows a way to replace a default camera application on lockscreen, please write it here

...unfortunately I doesn't have access to the video and my english in not so good, but I have big trouble with the autofocus on my xperia T too.

My problem ist that I can hear the autofocus activities on the recorded clip, especially in  very quiet situations.

It's like a low frequency rattle behind the background noise.

The rattle correspond with situations where the autofocus can't fix an objekt.

My hope was, that I could hear that sound of the autofocus on the clip, becaus that would show me that this noise is a absolutely normal behavior of the Xperia T.

Otherwise  my new mobilephne would have a malfunction 😞

Is there anyone in this forum who can confirm that the autofocus is hearable on the recoring?

Thank you in advance

Hi....

nobody who can confirm the autofocus noise on his Xperia T?

It's very easy to test it...

- go to a very quiet place with less light

- turn the camera movie modus on and record objects in different distances

(from near to far and back to near, so that the autofocus has lot of work)

- play the recorded movie with maximal sound volume

If I do that, I can hear a ratteling noise in every situation the autofocus was working.

In my country (Germany), I got in contact with four XT Users, three of them confirmed the noise.

I can't believe that this is only problem in germany.

If there is an SONY Support member, who read this... I would be very happy if you can confim that this is a normal behaviour of that mobile.  If this is not a malfunction, what is the reason?

Than kyou in advance

P.S. What's the reason that I can't play the video in the openig post of this thread?

Yes , I remember hearing about this issue on a couple of Xperia T reviews, also there's a couple of links that point to this problem , ex:

http://www.xperiablog.net/forum/threads/noisy-focus-mechanism.2395/

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-T-TX/Noise-problem-on-auto-focus-on-Xperia-T/td-p/264907

.

But I'm not sure if there was a solution

.

Also I tried the LG Camera as mentionned in a previous note and the focus appears to be better

.

Thanks

Hi TurserQC,

thank you for your reply... the second link was new for me!

It's a pity that SONY doesn't have an official statement for the Xperia T useres in their own support forum!
