Floating widgets on the home screen

When I make a two finger "pinch" on the home screen, all my widgets start floating around on the screen.

My question is just. What is the purpose of this feature? I dont see any good use for it.

In my experiance If we touch the widget/shotcut in different homescreen directly goto that widget/shortcut (& homescreen too) without manual moving homescreens & touching shortcuts/widgets in above floating widgets case. I don't know it their expectation is..:smileyconfused:
