Flashed ICS ROM vs Network ICS ROM

I have the LwW locked to Three UK, I was wondering which upgrade would be better; the custom one which I can flash myself (from this post) or the one that (may) come soon from my network provider?

The reason why I am asking this is because people in different regions have different experiences, so which one is likely to be better, or are they both very similar?

maybe you can try the official update first,see if you like it or not.

do you have your SI no. in the ICS update list?
if you dont like it,then you can proceed with custom rom..:smileyhappy:

if it's Sony's update it's the same few apps more or less and custom ROMs have trade offs

My SI number is not on the list yet. I suppose it's best to wait for now. Thanks for the help anyway.

anytime, if you want to test it you can

1) backup your current firmware then

2) flash ICS

3) once the SI number is added to the list you can downgrade
