Fingerprint data lost

Yesterday evening my Z5 had 0-1% battery left and I connected the charger. At the same time with connecting the phone turned itself off, I thought that the battery died at the exactly same moment.

In the morning I turned on the phone and wondered why the fingerprint sensor is not responding. I opened phone with pin and checked the fingerprint settings. Fingerprint lock was turned off and when I turned it back on I had to teach my fingerprints again.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem? It is quite worrying that your biometric credentials can just get lost.

That's rather odd, have you installed any antivirus, taskillers, clean master apps? have you reset the phone in any way?

No, I have not installed that kind of apps. Only one is AVG Protection that came pre-installed in my phone.

I haven't reset the phone in any way either. The phone turned off same time as I plugged in the charger (the battery might have died at the same moment as it had already been at 1% for a long time) and next morning the fingerprints did not work anymore.

Today had the same issue. Firmware 52. Battery was at 50% and device was connected to hands-free via BT. When I tried to unlock, it rebooted and fingerprint was disabled afterwards. All fingerprints were deleted.

Just happened to mine. Battery at 94%, phone restarted, then scanner said "try again" without me touching it, then all settings for fingerprints disappeared. Sony??

Hello,
I have the same problem on my z5 the digital fingerprint reader stopped working even after rebooting the z5.
