Faulty handset?

Hi,

I have a Z1 Compact.

When I turn it on, it shows the language selection screen and asks me to insert a SIM Card.

I insert the SIM card and the phone reboots, but looks like it doesnn't picks up the card because the SIM icon at the top has the red X and it does all over again (asking for the language and for the sim card to be inserted)

I tried with multiple SIM cards.

Is there something I can do or is it definitly broken?

If you have tried multiple SIM-cards and the problem persist it might be a fault with your device. I suggest that you contact nearset service center so a technician can examine your unit.
