Factory Screen Protector?

Hi, does the Xperia U come with a screen protector already on the screen? I can't actually tell by looking at it so I don't think there is. There's no way of getting it off so I would guess no. I had a protector in the box with the phone so maybe one wasn't installed?

No you have to put it on yourself. Well, not on YOURSELF, on the phone screen

Be also aware that the Xperia U has  scratch resistant - anti-reflection coating on mineral glass.

Yes. Xperia U has scratch resistant - anti reflection coating....  But what about oiliness on screen? Does Sony provide any guard or protector for that? (As Service center guys have thrown my original guard provided by Sony)

ya they did same to my handset few months ago , like they are the one's who own the handset

Well, scratch resistant is not the same as scratch proof, so I would advise using screen protector anyway.

Yes, use a protector. It adds a small amount of extra durability which may help prevent impact damage.
