Please help me with this one.Is it necessarily to do a factory data reset or settings reset before or after updating to ICS?I have seen many saying that you need to reset, but i want to know if it is really necessarily or the phone might work well without it.Thank you.
And also, please tell me this. When i updated to ICS,my phone was ok until finishing boot or something like that appeared. Then it freezed.I restarted after 10 mins and it worked ok since then.Did i do something wrong? The phone doesn't seem to have problems, except the battery consumption everyone complains about, but which has been batter after 2 recharges, and the callerid picture which i think the best way to resolve is to delete all the contacts and save them again.
1.) those are just optional to do. it just make sure the OS is installed cleanly, no interferance from apps or anything installed on the phone.
2.) did the problem occur back? it takes time to settle the new OS, give it time to fill caches and your good to go.
FOr higher optimal performance, u need to install update service and select the option of (Update=factory data reset) then it will update with clean os...
It will Defenetly help...

I do not have any problem with the OS now.The battery is great. It just needed some time on the ICS to get better.About the contacts,i started deleting all and resaving with pictures.Thank you very much.:smileysilly:
