External Apps cannot be installed.!!

Whenever i try to install any external .apk file from my sd card, the install button does not click but m able to click cancel button adjacent to it. I have tried sony service test to check if that part of the screen is working or not and it is working normally. Is it because of any malware? Please help.

Try Settings>Security and then make sure Unknown Sources is ticked.

That option is already ticked.

You could try downloading something like Astro File Manager from the Play Store and see if this lets you install what you want.  Use it to find the file on your SD card and then it should give you the option to install.

Perhaps the app just isn't compatible with your device.  What is it that you are trying to install? Have you had it running on a different device?  Does it come from a trusted source?
