Everything is so small

Is there a way to make everything on my ultra appear larger other than changing the font size to extra large, which only seems to effect the settings menu? I would have though that with this big of a phone, it would be easier to see things.

try different Home launchers, messaging apps, etc.

handcent its a great app, I don't have this phone so I can't really tell you how an app will look on your phone
