When I updated my Z1 t the latest sotware,I could not delete my file with the app downloaded from Google Play. I wonder that it is because the installed application named File Commander. Since I have not updated my phone, i could delete it to avoiding it interfering with the other applaction. Who can tell me how to delete Flie Commander.
You can not delete it, as its preloaded, unless you root your phone and use an app to delete it

If you have a unrooted Z1 with uptodate firmware (kitkat), then you don't want to remove File Commander.
Because that application has full write access to your microsd card (sdcard1). -that's what i experience with my T-mobile (NL) branded Z1-.
I suppose that you're already informed of the downside of the kitkat version: applications have restricted access on microsd (sdcard1) to only write in directory of application itselves.
So if you use a 3th party file browser, then it's the question: does it has full write access on your microsd card ?
Hi,
you can download sony file manager from Google Play Store and this app can delete and copy files to sdcard1
