Enable downgrade NOW!!

After a day of moderate usage my Xperia Ray is now at 14% battery. With GB it used to be around 50-60%. The phone is slow as molasses, and some apps (notably web browser and maps) are all but unusable because they just shut down with no error message. I would like to be able to browse the web with my "smart" phone, thank you. I even performed a factory reset/restore to no avail.

Sony obviously knew about this, and still they decided not to provide a downgrade option.

Sony: You broke my Ray, give me Gingerbread back now!

Also, this is my ~tenth Ericsson/Sony Ericsson phone. If this remains unsolved, my next phone will be anything but a Sony.

An upgrade should be a good thing... but not with sony.

If this continues I'll root the phone an install a custon ROM, but is stupid, was not suppose to happend.

Before roll out was on blog written about ICS memory usage and was described that ICS can slow down xperia  phones. Go on XDA site to find solution. I think there are posted stock GB rom for flashtool.

I don't think the ICS is slow, I have more free ram than I had with GB.

The problem is that wireless is not working!!! and the data connection is not perfect also, and that was not in the blog!!!!

This type of problem should not ocorre in a Alpha version, wtf was Sony doing since Dezember whem release the alpha version of ICS ???

I think sony had lot of time to work on upgrade fw. i think optimization is something anonymous for them. but what now? we can believe that sony release next bug update where optimize lot of on current ics release :S or unlock bootloader and instal any custom kernel and rom Slightly_frowning_Face

Did it say that ICS would have such bad RAM usage that even the built-in web browser would't work correctly? No, I didn't think so..

I do not know but built-in browser on ics is working faster i think (on my ray)

For me when i had GB i had to wait lot of time to render page or to load data from wan. now i think it is faster

Don't bother your self

Sony have something like deaf...

they don't hear their custmoers....

90% of customers over all blogs are not satisfied and Sony still offering the same upgrade !!! Slightly_smiling_Face

My advice to all customers never ever buy SONY mobiles again....

my next phone will be Samsung or HTC...SONY to the trash

I think there is an option to downgrade your Mobile again to GB ..but not officially ...

this is link of how to rollback Xperia Neo V

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35123

sure you will find the same for your Xperia Ray

I'm with you bro! Give me back my phone Anguished_Face I even have to wait 5-10 seconds just to dial a number. My SE K810i can do that in less than 1 seconds!.

Btw, my phone is Xperia Neo V.
