Email not syncing correctly

Hi everyone. I seem to have a problem syncing my pop3 email. Although it downloads fine to the Z1 once read and any no longer needed deleted, when I then download the remaining messages to my laptop   the emails don't get removed from the Z1.

This problem has only occurred since upgrading up 4.3 !!

Any help much appreciated.

How often have you set your email to sync ?

Every 10 minutes.

I’m sorry I just need a bit of clarification. The emails that are being deleted, are you deleting them from the phone or externally?

Strangly, changing the sync time to 15 minutes has solved the problem and everything now seems ok.

Thought I had solved the problem by changing the frequency of sync but now don't think I have.

Prior to the update if I deleted and email on either my phone or laptop the other device would also be updated when next synced. Now this doesn't appear to happen.

Any help much appreciated.

Sam, I'm still having problems syncing my email.

If I delete any emails from my Z1 then download my emails to my laptop they sync correctly with the deleted emails being deleted on the server. However if I then read the emails on my laptop and delete more although they delete from the server they do not update the Z1 with the emails being left on the phone.

Any help appreciated.

I am also having this problem - it's annoying the **bleep** out of me!

I have my Xperia Z email client set to download headers from a POP3 email account, but not delete the emails from the server.  My PC email client is set to download emails and remove them from the server, but after they are removed from the server the phone doesn't delete them locally on the next sync (which it should).  If I try to open one of the emails that has been removed from the server I get a "Connection error" message.

This functionality worked perfectly until the 4.3 upgrade.

I have the same issue also, intially on an Xperia Z, now on a Z1 compact. Come on Sony - I am sick of having to delete every email twice!!
