Elm would not charge

Hello,

I got a problem wth my Elm. It has run out of battery so here I am going to charge it, but it does not, and tur itsel off. I have tried different plugs and still there is no response. The thing is this is not the 1st tim it happened, but this is the longest this time an I'm scared it will not respond aymore. Any body else had such troubles?

How long did you leave the phone connected to the charger?  When the phone is dead, it can take half an hour of charging to be able to turn it back on sometimes, or to indicate that it is charging.

And make sure plug is pressed right in; mine is tempermental and does not always connect, but needs pressing firmly.

(Shame that SE insists on a single proprietry plug, on my old Nokia I could charge and use earpiece or connect to car MP3 socket simultaneously as the sockets were separate and used standard, reliable mini-usb, power socket and 3.5mm sockets)

Also, it's best never to let the battery drain completely, untill the phone turns itself off. That is said to lower capacity of a Li-ion battery.

Regular top-ups at 30+ % keeps your battery in shape.

Thank you all for your answers, I managed to get it charged after 2 hours! I did not know that if it totally run out of battery it would not charge for some time, so now Iknow!
