Doubt about back up.

Hi,

I have a doubt about a back up of the mobile, if I used the backup aplication of the mobile and I sent to the external SD memory card, when i use this backup to recover the phone, will it become exactly as i backuped? Or will i have to download again all the apps and just it saves the datas?
