Double tap to wake up screen function, when?

Hi. I wonder if it is planning to add the "double tap wake up screen" function to our Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.

I am a little worried about pressing the "on" button anytime.

I don't use the security options, because it is simple to format the phone and is lost forever.

It is very sad to see that tap to wake function is not available in sony phones though it is in the firmware. Please tell me why it is blocked? even chinese manufacturers give this function which is very useful.

Sony phones do support double tap 2 wake function like Z1,Z2,Z3,Z3c,Z5 series and maybe Z Ultra, M5 and C5 Ultra too. But Z1C don't have double tap to wake function because AFAIK its digitizer does not support this feature.
